Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court
The Section for International Law and International Relations is looking for motivated students of the University of Vienna with fluency in English for the course ‘International Investment Arbitration Moot Court’ to participate in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court. We offer in-depth training on investment law and public international law, training in rhetoric and presentation skills as well as to strengthen soft skills such as in the area of teamwork.
The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court takes place annually in June in Frankfurt. Prior to the main competition, the team of the University of Vienna will participate in preliminary rounds in Paris or Milan. Internationally renowned lawyers and academics act as arbitrator in the preliminary rounds as well as in the main competition in Frankfurt. Travel expenses are reimbursed by the University of Vienna supported by our generous sponsors. Participation in the Moot Court can be credited as a diploma seminar or 4 SSt in the elective field of specialization (Law of International Relations) as well as a course in foreign language.
The Start of an international career
Students become familiar with the advocatory work during their studies and gain international experience. For many former team members, participation in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court was the first step for an international career. Today, former participants work in renowned law firms, as diplomats, in transnational companies, international organizations and at universities.
